Ludhiana police have registered a case against a man named Shailesh for allegedly running an online gambling platform called ‘Bigg Daddy Casino’. The case was initiated after the Cyber Wing took notice of a social media post on X (formerly Twitter) revealing Shailesh’s activities. He reportedly used mobile numbers and a Telegram account (@Shaileshdabng) to attract people to his gambling group. The police have filed charges under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 13/3/67 of the Gambling Act. The Commissioner of Police, Swapan Sharma, urged the public to be cautious of such illegal activities and report any suspicious cyber activity to the police.
