Mr. Lucky! Mississippi man hits second casino jackpot in just three days
Summary
A Mississippi man hit an impressive jackpot twice in just three days, walking away with nearly $300,000 in winnings from the same Biloxi casino. Kevin Baker struck rich for a second time Sunday morning at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino, where he won $143,898.87 on a slot machine after just eight minutes of play, The Sun Herald reports. The Biloxi resident placed a $100 bet on the $1 Lightning 10-Year Storm slot machine in the casino's High Limit area and hit the jackpot. The win came two days after Baker collected an even bigger payout of $156,476.27 last Friday. He won that jackpot with a $10 bet on the 10-cent Magic Treasures Gold Empress slot machine, which hit after nine minutes of play.
Combined, the two jackpots earned Baker $300,375.14 in winnings this past weekend. It also marked the 31st win of at least $100,000 at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino this year. The payout pushed the total amount awarded in jackpots of $100,000 or more across Mississippi's Gulf Coast casinos to more than $8.5 million in 2026. Beau Rivage has not released a public statement on Baker's winnings, but did share the Sun Herald's story on its Facebook page. The Beau Rivage, nicknamed the "Bellagio of the South," opened in 1999 but suffered major damage from Hurricane Katrina's 30-foot storm surge in 2005, and was rebuilt and reopened on the storm's one-year anniversary in August 29, 2006.
