The illegal operations occurred between 2013 and 2021. As part of his plea agreement, Brannon must forfeit $25 million in proceeds, pay a $5,000 fine, and serve one year of probation, including six months of home confinement.
The court-ordered forfeiture will be paid in installments, starting with $7 million immediately and the remainder following his home confinement. Brannon, known in Costa Rica as Scott Brannon, was linked to the club through Fuerza Herediana S.A.D. While Brannon was a prominent figure in club events, the criminal case does not implicate Club Sport Herediano, Fuerza Herediana, or any current club officials in the illegal gambling operation.
