Resorts World has operated as a slots parlor since 2011 and already had an advantage over other licensees, such as Steve Cohen, who must build new casinos from scratch. The completed project will feature 6,000 slot machines, 800 live table games, 2,000 hotel rooms, a 7,000-seat concert hall, and 12 acres of public green space, and is expected to generate significant tax revenue for the state’s education system.
