The Kindbridge Research Institute, with EPIC Global Solutions, surveyed 507 U.S. first responders and found that 94.5% had gambled in the past year, with 44% meeting problem gambling criteria and 39% at risk; firefighters showed the greatest risk, 50% screened positive for PTSD, and higher PTSD severity correlated with greater gambling harm, especially among those with military experience.
