Approximately $3.9 million came from slot machines and $800,000 from table games. This revenue contributed to a total of $81 million in adjusted gross revenue for all five of Virginia’s casinos in January. Live! Casino paid around $845,000 in taxes, with $280,000 going to the city of Petersburg and $555,000 to the state’s gaming proceeds fund. The Cordish Companies, the casino’s owner, is currently constructing a permanent $600 million casino and hotel expected to open in 2027, with potential plans for a surrounding neighborhood. Additionally, the Virginia Senate recently passed a bill to allow a sixth casino in Fairfax County.
