Construction on the new $360 million Hollywood Casino-Aurora resort is moving forward, with the exterior work almost finished and interior work now underway. The new location, situated near Chicago Premium Outlets and Interstate 88, will replace the current downtown Aurora casino. According to Hollywood Casino-Aurora Vice President and General Manager Greg Moore, the project remains on schedule for a 2026 opening despite challenging weather conditions. The resort will feature 1,200 gaming positions, 220 hotel rooms, a sportsbook, an entertainment area, a spa, and an event center. Celebrity chefs Giada De Laurentiis and Stephanie Izard are opening restaurants at the new site, alongside other dining options in the Boulevard Food & Drink Hall. The new casino is expected to employ around 800 people, and the company is actively hiring.
