CGMC reviews casino inspection standards, employee licensing - Khmer Times

On July 1, 2026, the Commercial Gambling Management Commission (CGMC) convened a meeting in Phnom Penh to review and finalize a casino quality inspection and assessment project aimed at tightening regulatory oversight and ensuring casinos meet operational standards. The session, chaired by Secretary General Yeth Vinel and attended by Deputy Secretary General Sen Sopheap, technical advisors, and department directors, also examined proposed revisions to CGMC’s internal working groups to align with new priorities. Additionally, participants discussed measures to strengthen the administration and management of special casino employee licenses as part of ongoing efforts to improve governance of Cambodia’s commercial gambling sector.
