Town of Hanover casino revenue surpasses $25 million

Mayor Sue Paterson highlighted the town’s strong partnership with OLG, noting that the funding has been consistently used for capital infrastructure projects, including road reconstruction, the Civic Theatre, and various equipment purchases. The casino, initially operated by OLG and now by Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited, has undergone expansions and renovations over the years, currently offering 289 slot machines and 18 electronic table games. OLG’s revenue sharing program has provided nearly $2.4 billion to host communities across Ontario since 1994, with 100% of OLG profits reinvested back into the province.
