Former casino site in Henderson penciled for big redevelopment project
Summary
The city of Henderson has reached a deal to sell the 35-acre former Fiesta Henderson hotel-casino property to California-based Agora Realty & Management for $30 million. Agora plans to develop a sprawling mixed-use project that will include retail and office space, a hotel, and recreational sports facilities. The centerpiece of the conceptual plan is an indoor tournament sports complex, aiming to create a vibrant new destination for residents and drive economic growth. The site, located at a key interchange along Lake Mead Parkway, was previously purchased by the city in 2022 for $32 million after Station Casinos demolished the hotel. This new agreement follows the collapse of earlier negotiations with another developer, Woodbury Corp. Agora, which has other projects in North Las Vegas, must still obtain city approval for the purchase and project plans.
