New England casino to donate record $2.7M to charities, breaking mark for 2nd month
Summary
The Nash Casino in Nashua, New Hampshire, will present a combined check of $2.7 million to 14 local nonprofit organizations, marking the largest monthly charitable contribution in the state's history. The donation, accumulated from July's gaming revenue—including games of chance, historical horse racing machines, and video lottery terminals—breaks the casino's own record set the previous month at $2.4 million, making this the second consecutive month The Nash has surpassed its prior mark.
Operating under New Hampshire's unique charity casino model, The Nash allocates a portion of all gaming revenue to local organizations through rotating five- to ten-day cycles. Since officially opening on March 5, 2025, the casino has generated $31.1 million for New Hampshire nonprofits over its first 17 months, with $12.1 million raised in the past five months alone and over $2.2 million contributed each month during that period. The check presentation will take place at the Topgolf Swing Suites at The Nash.
Among the 14 beneficiary organizations are Austin17House, Nashua Elks Crusaders Football & Spirit Association, the Loudon Firefighters Association, the Nashua Regional Cancer Center, Girls Inc. of NH, and the Nashua Historical Society. Under New Hampshire law, a portion of casino gaming revenue is reserved for charities and state education programs.
