Fulham face call to drop gambling sponsor from next season
Summary
Entain Group, the owner of Ladbrokes and Coral, has written to Fulham urging the club to drop its gambling sponsor, SBOTOP, for the upcoming season. The club's front-of-shirt sponsor does not hold a UK gambling licence, and Entain has called for Fulham to commit to only using licensed sponsors next season. Fulham agreed a club-record deal with SBOTOP in June 2023, but the Gambling Commission warned the club in May 2025 about the sponsor's relationship with TGP Europe, which had to surrender its UK licence for anti-money laundering breaches. The Premier League has agreed to ban front-of-shirt gambling sponsors from the 2026/27 season, but Entain is concerned about potential loopholes. The UK Government is consulting on banning all unlicensed gambling operator sponsorship in sport. Fulham has not commented on the matter.
